The following researches are carried out at
the Center branch office established in Higashi-Yoshino village.
(1) Global solar irradiance, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide,
acid rain, temperature, humidity, wind direction, wind velocity,
etc.
(2) Research of the ecology and physiology of the mutual relationships
between river fishes, aquatic insects, algae, etc.
(3) Measurement of inner-forest carbon dioxide, spectroscopic
measurements of various plant species, the creation of a database
concerning matter and energy cycles for comparison with satellite
data.
Using this research to contribute to society
by proceeding with the following activities.
(1) Through education, university field training, and field
training for junior high school and high school students,
etc.
(2) Cooperation with local autonomy and forestry corporation,
